Its the time of year that the bull elk battle for dominence. We were fortunate enough to be able to watch 2 different battles today! 
Later in the day we watched as a coyote pup practiced his hubting skills on mice in the tall grasses of the valley floor.
A hike onto just the flanks of the Palisades range makes for an exciting afternoon climb ... and it was a balmy 28 deg celcius!!!
